Wallflower History:

I first heard about The Wallflowers by listening to the radio and heard "6th Avenue Heartache" a few times. However, things didn't really catch my interest until I heard "One Headlight" on the radio, but didn't really know the name of the band for sure until I caught the video on tv. I remember buying Bringing Down The Horse shortly after at a bookstore and it became a staple in my cd wallet for car trips and also for my stereo. The album blew my mind away. My favorite track being "I Wish I Felt Nothing" and it still is. Then I went around tracking their first release after Matt Pinfield on MTV mentioned it. It was quite different and low-key, but the piano work on that cd is remarkable. When Breach finally came out it became my favorite Wallflowers album, and with that album, the desire to see these guys became so great I couldn't pass up another opportunity. I finally got to see the guys in Seattle at the Paramount Theatre as a birthday present. That was one of the most exciting nights in my life in that I got to take in their wonderful show and meet most of the guys afterwards. The Wallflower madness continued as they continued to tour and with Rebel, Sweetheart I'm excited to see what the band has in store.

Favorite Wallflowers Song: "I Wish I Felt Nothing"
Favorite Wallflowers Cover: "The Weight" originally by The Band
Favorite Wallflowers CD: Breach
Favorite Wallflowers TV appearance: MTV Unplugged
Favorite Wallflowers Concert: Summer Nights at the Pier
