The Wallflowers | Former & Honorary Flowers

 The Wallflowers
Jakob Dylan
(vocals, guitar, piano, lyrics)
Birthdate: December 9, 1969 | Birthplace:  New York, NY | Resides: Los Angeles, CA

Jakob "Captain Midnight" Dylan is one of the original members of The Wallflowers. His interest in music really took off when he was just 12 years old after seeing The Clash performing live. He then had a small garage band called The Apples, but left things behind when he decided to go to New York to study art. He didn't stay there long headed back home to LA. It was there that he hooked up with his old band mates and met Rami Jaffee to work on the first release by The Wallflowers. Jakob's brother Jesse directed their first video for "Ashes to Ashes." Since then, and 3 successful albums later, he has continued to write songs for the group as well as other projects.

Greg was an old high school friend of Jakob and was asked to fill in as the new bassist for the new Wallflowers grouping. They had played in the same garage bands together in LA where their neighbors complained of the noise level and they had to add insulation with egg cartons. He has also done some guest musician spots on Fiona Apple and Macy Gray's cds as well as working with many musicians featured on Trampoline Records. He has a side project with fellow Wallflower members Rami and Mario called the Sake Sushi Orchestra. He's also stepped into the role of producer for the band Minibar.
