Howie Day
November 16, 2004 | Tower Records @ Seattle, WA

Howie was having an in-store performance at the newly reopened Tower Records in Seattle. It was also the same day of his re-released cd Stop All The World Now. I got there just in time, other fans were there since 3 pm. That's dedication.

He started promptly at 6pm, and I decided to not take photos and just go for taking videos with my digital camera. The view from that was better than in person.

The set was pretty short, only about 20 minutes so I was able to record all the performances. He did at least all of the songs I loved and that I really wanted to hear off of his cd: Brace Yourself, Perfect Time Of Day, She Says, and Collide. My hand probably went down a couple of ring sizes from holding up the camera for so long. He talked a little bit in-between his performances. It was funny when Howie discussed the photography for the newly re-released version of the cover art for his cd. Tilting his head and moving his hands around in a re-enactment.

Afterwards, there was an autograph session. While waiting, the people at Tower gave out car fresheners and bottle openers. 15 minutes later I found myself getting my cd signed. It felt awkward, and I didn't really know what to say as opposed to the gushing fans ahead of me. He was very nice though, and I remembered to thank him for the show.
