Dec.  16 Pete (lou reed) posted a greeting up at the official message board.
Dec.  15 There is a new photo of Pete up in the studio featuring Sid (of Minibar) and Jake. Photo is taken by Jim Wright. Check it out at the official site.

Dec.  07 --Happy Chanukah--
Pete will be on a tribute cd for Junior Kimbrough titled Sunday Nights: The Songs of Junior Kimbrough to be released on January 17 next year. "I Feel Good Again" (previously released on Greatest Hits Vol. 2 from Trampoline Records) will be his contribution to the project. To read more click here.
Best Buy stores have a special compilation cd called Sweet Tracks for 2004. It is available to Best Buy Reward Members for free. It includes Pete's version of "Do They Know It's Christmas?" (previously released on Kevin & Bean's radio compilation) as well as fellow Columbia recording artists Train, Chris Isaak, and Elton John among others. For more information click here.

Nov.  15 During Minibar's set at O'Brien's in Los Angeles on November 13 Pete came on to play some new songs including "Unnaturally" and "Good Advice."

Nov.  11 The Anchorman dvd is set for release on December 28th. No word yet if the music video of "Afternoon Delight" will be on there, which features Pete on bongos.
Oct.  31 --Happy Halloween--
The "Axis Of Justice" cd release date has been pushed back to November 16th.
Live From New Jersey that was exclusively available through digital outlets and peteyornstore.com is now available to purchase in-stores on November 23. Just in time for the holidays!
Oct.  19 Enjoy Every Sandwich: The Songs of Warren Zevon is being released today. A review of the album was done mentioning that "Pete Yorn's harmonica-wailing "Splendid Isolation" is delivered with passion" (to read the article click here).
Oct.  18 The "Axis Of Justice" cd/dvd that was brought up in late August now has the release date of November 2nd. It will feature Pete on "Where The Streets Have No Name," "Alice In My Fantasies," and "Chimes Of Freedom." (By the way, if you're a fan of Minibar they back Pete up).

Oct.  04 Enjoy Every Sandwich: The Songs of Warren Zevon has a release date set for October 19, 2004 (This is the tribute cd). Once again it will feature a song performed by Pete, "Splendid Isolation" and will feature many other great musicians. For more info visit Artemis Records.

In his off time Pete finds himself helping out charities. At a recent benefit Beverly Hills show put on by the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Perry Farrell all tickets sales were benefiting the Autism Coalition and Surfers Healing. For more info click here.

Sept. 28 Nancy Sinatra's new self-titled album is released today in the US. Be sure to pick up a copy since it features Pete on a song he wrote called "Don't Mean Nothin." It was the winner of 3 songs he gave Nancy to choose from.

Aug. 31 The Axis of Justice show Pete was performing at has a cd/dvd set release called Axis of Justice Concert Series Volume 1. It will feature Pete on vocals and guitar performing "I Feel Good Again," "Strange Condition," and "Broken Bottle." It will be released on November 2nd.

Aug. 18 Pete will be featured on another tribute cd for the late Warren Zevon doing "Splendid Isolation." On the official Warren Zevon board Jordon Zevon has posted the track list along with some notes. For Pete's cover, "I love Pete’s version of Splendid. Nice and dark, just the way Dad liked it." Aug. 10 Pete will be among several musicians performing live at the Ramones' 30th Anniversary bash on September 12 at the Avalon Theatre in Hollywood, CA. There will also be a memorabilia exhibition hall for Ramones fans. Tickets will go on sale August 14th at Ticketmaster for $35.

July. 31 The Nancy Sinatra contribution Pete had, "Don't Mean Nothin'" for a new album by Nancy Sinatra, To Nancy, With Love. Now has a scheduled release date of September 28th. Mark your calendars!

July. 12 Pete has a cameo in the new Will Ferrell music video for "Afternoon Delight" from the new movie Anchorman. He's the one playing on the congos with a mustache. You can view it by clicking here. (Pete is about 1:40 minutes into the video).

June. 30 New Pete show has been added. You can check him out as part of the Axis of Justice Concert Series on July 17th at the Avalon in Hollywood. Tickets go on sale July 1st. Other musicians to be featured include Jurrasic 5, Serj Tankian (System of a Down), The Nightwatchman (Tom Morello), Brad Wilk (Audioslave), Ray Witter, and some additional special guest. June. 29 Jesse Malin's new album The Heat is in US stores today featuring Pete Yorn. Go pick it up. Rolling Stone gave it 4 stars. Look for Malin to do a tour across the land in late July.
June. 17 Minnie Driver's new cd is coming along with the help of members from The Wallflowers and Pete Yorn's band according to news sources (Chart Attack). Check out her new site devoted to her budding career at minniedrivermusic.com & TrampolineRecords.com.

Pete is to contribute "Don't Mean Nothin'" for a new album by Nancy Sinatra, To Nancy, With Love. No release date is set, but you can expect it to be available late summer/early fall. The cd will also feature other guest stars such as Morrissey and U2. See the article at Billboard.

May. 11 The Shrek 2 Soundtrack is released today. Click here for samples including Pete's cover of "Ever Fallen In Love."
May. 06 On May 4th Pete surprised the crowd with an acoustic set at the O'Briens Pub in Venice, CA. Looks like he was also joined by Simon Petty of Minibar (the band also backs Pete up on his song on the Shrek 2 soundtrack). Pete performed new and old songs as well as some cover tunes. Here's the setlist from the night: Model American, Baby I'm Gone, That's Entertainment (Jam Cover), Friend Of The Devil, Sense (teaser), The Man, Don't Mean Nothin, Broken Bottle, Golden Road (Chauncey whistle solo), New York City Serenade (Springsteen cover).

Apr. 25 There are rumors that Pete will do a show with Jesse Malin and Ryan Adams on June 10th in Cleveland, OH at the Grog Shop as posted in an online newspaper. Keep your fingers crossed!
Apr. 24 Pete will be performing a benefit concert in Birmingham, AL on May 21st for City Stages. He will be joined by Minibar for this special event. Tickets go on sale April 26th and you can get them by calling 205-879-4773 or online at workplay.com. For more info click here.

Apr. 21 Pete Yorn and Ryan Adams will both be guests featured on Jesse Malin's upcoming album "The Heat." It will be released on June 29th in the US and June 9th in Europe. It will also be released earlier through online vendors.
Apr. 20 The new Pete Yorn official bulletin board is coming. You no longer have to re-register, but you will lose any content stored on that system. Look for the new board in the coming days. For the old board click here.
Apr. 14 Pete's cover of the Buzzcock's "Ever Fallen In Love" is to be available soon. On May 11th the soundtrack for the new Shrek 2 movie will be released with the track. For a full list of the songs on that cd click here.

Apr. 09 Happy Birthday to Joe Kennedy! Of course being in Pete's DirtyBird band. Check out his work with Happily Ever After at TrampolineRecords.com and look for him on April 21st playing at the Silverlake Lounge in Los Angeles, CA with special guest Luke Adams.

Pete's cover of "Red Right Hand" by Nick Cave for the "Hellboy" movie is not on the movie's soundtrack, but you can download it soon from www.itunes.com. His song is still featured in the movie and from Pete "go see it...its great."

Mar. 21 A new article is up on Billboard.com for the Trampoline Records Showcase held yesterday. Read the full article here. In brief:
Yorn took the stage for thunderous renditions of the rock-radio hits "Life on a Chain" and "For Nancy ('Cos It Already Is)." The performance closed with a rollicking cover of Elvis Presley's "Suspicious Minds." Yorn told Billboard.com afterward he has already recorded 30 new songs with friends in New Jersey for his next Columbia album, which will be the follow-up to last year's "Day I Forgot." "I'm just having fun with it," he said. "When it's ready is when it will come out."

Feb. 29 Pete will be making another contribution to the film world! He just recorded a version of "Red Right Hand" by Nick Cave for "Hellboy" (directed by Guillermo Del Toro) to be out on April 2nd. For more on this movie check out www.sonypictures.com/movies/hellboy/index.html.
Feb. 28 Pete Yorn and members of the Trampoline gang (Nadine, Jukebox Junkies, Minnie Driver, Minibar, The Hangups, and Happily Ever After) will be at the SXSW music showcase. They will be playing at the Blender Bar at the Ritz on March 20th in Austin, Texas. The show is 21+.

There are many voids of Day I Forgot appearances that I'm slowly uncovering and getting on here. In the meantime, be sure to tune into the Ellen Degeneres show tomorrow for a special performance by Pete (and perhaps Minibar?)
